We are pleased to offer this Foundations of Effective Leadership Webinar Series in conjunction with CPS HR Consulting. 

Part 4 of our Foundations of Effective Leadership Webinar Series, Leading Through Conflict, is designed for new and prospective supervisors who want to move from avoiding conflict to leading through it with confidence and clarity. We begin by exploring how productive conflict lays the foundation for high-functioning teams. Next, participants will explore their own conflict styles. We will look at the productive and destructive tendencies of different styles in conflict, helping you recognize how you typically show up in tense situations and how others may respond. Through individual reflection and small‑group sharing, you will begin to see patterns in your behavior and experiment with ways to adapt your style to different conflict situations. 

The session closes with focused reflection and a personal commitment: each participant will identify one concrete way they will stretch into a different conflict style the next time they find themselves in a difficult conversation. By the end of the class, you will walk away with greater self‑awareness, practical tools, and a plan for leading through conflict instead of around it. 

Learning Objectives: 

• Recognize how productive conflict supports trust, collaboration, and team effectiveness. 

• Identify personal conflict tendencies and understand how different conflict styles influence workplace interactions. 

• Apply strategies to adapt communication and navigate difficult conversations with greater confidence and effectiveness.
