From Prompts to Practice
Speaker: Brian Rivera, Director, Technology and Administration, Tree House Humane Society
June 25, 2026
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Zoom
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how organizations communicate, plan, analyze information, and support their communities — and animal welfare is no exception. In this practical and approachable webinar, Brian Rivera explores how shelters and rescue organizations can begin using AI tools in meaningful, responsible, and mission-focused ways.
Through real-world examples and live demonstrations, attendees will learn how AI can help draft sensitive communications, create adoption profiles, summarize meetings and voicemails, brainstorm ideas, support strategic thinking, and save valuable staff time. The session will also address the risks and limitations of AI — including hallucinations, bias, privacy concerns, and the importance of human oversight.
Designed for animal welfare professionals at all experience levels, this webinar focuses less on technical jargon and more on practical applications attendees can start experimenting with immediately. Whether you are AI-curious or already experimenting with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot, this session will help you move from prompts to practice with greater confidence and clarity.
