This 90-minute webinar will provide guidance on the statutory roles and responsibilities of various animal law enforcers in Ohio. This course is intended only for humane society agents, municipal or township animal control officers, dog wardens, police officers, or sheriffs. DanaMarie Pannella, attorney in the firm of Holland & Muirden and appointed prosecutor for animal cruelty cases in many courts across Ohio, will discuss these topics:

    • Roles and responsibilities of animal law enforcement in Ohio, including dog wardens, humane agents, animal control officers, and more!
    • Legal gaps in roles and responsibilities
    • Handling dual jurisdiction issues
    • Building relationships and working collaboratively with other animal law enforcers
    • The risks of not understanding roles and responsibilities
