Triage and Emergency Care

in the Shelter Setting

Speaker: Dr. Taylor Yurick, DVM, OSU VMC Urgent Care at Dublin

Wednesday, March 20, 2024

Noon - 1:00 p.m. on Zoom

Pet emergencies are daunting without the added stress of questions related to ownership, medical history, and pathway planning. This hour-long webinar will review triage in the shelter setting for non-medical team members, evaluating which animals need veterinary care immediately and what to do until this care can be provided. Additionally, prognostic indicators of common conditions will be discussed that can aid in decision making and pathway planning.
