Reading Cat and Dog Body Language &

Safe Humane Handling

Speaker: Kelley Bollen, MS, CABC

Tuesday, June 20, 2023

12:00 - 1:20 p.m. on Zoom

Dogs and cats speak with their bodies and they always let us know how they are feeling with this language. Anyone who works with cats and dogs should be able to read their body language in order to assess their emotional state at any given moment. This information will ensure that the animal is properly and safely handled to reduce fear and stress and keep staff safe.

This presentation discusses how to read cat and dog body language and how to safely and humanely handle the shelter animals.
