Bad Things Happen…
So Why Make It Worse?
Crisis Communication 101
Speaker: Mary Glauser, Executive Director,
Ashtabula County Animal Protective League
NEW DATE: Tuesday, June 6, 2023
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Zoom
Is your organization prepared for a crisis? What would your organization do if someone was injured by an animal at your ‘Bark in the Park’ adoption event? What if someone chose to drink and drive after your annual fundraiser and was in an accident? How about a humane case that has been highly publicized and gone viral?
These are a couple of questions we’ll pose during Communicating in a Crisis. We’ll delve into strategies for an organization to head off a crisis, how to plan for a crisis, and how to minimize the impact in the aftermath. We’ll discuss helpful tips, model a framework that you can use with your team and break into groups to work through crisis scenarios to practice what you learn.
