This two-hour live interactive webinar will provide general information about animal cruelty laws and process for legal professionals. Jeff Holland, partner in the firm of Holland & Muirden and special prosecutor for hundreds of animal cruelty cases in many courts across Ohio for the past 26 years, will present these topics: the difference in the roles of humane agents, dog wardens and animal controls; companion animal cruelty, and offenses against non-companion animals; the duty to provide care to an animal; defining cruelty, torment and torture; defining adequate shelter; seizure of companion animals and the ten-day hearing, including sample pleadings; and a case law update.
